Abstract

For the practical realization of Microwave power transfer (MPT), high-efficiency rectifiers are required. In this paper, we studied on the rectifiers with intermittent input signal. Intermittent signal has high peak-to-average power ratio. Therefore, there exists the possibility of boosting the RF-DC conversion efficiency. However, the operation of a rectifier with intermittent input is not studied enough. We analyzed the operation of the rectifier by considering the time constants in our former research. In this study, we discussed the proposed theory more finely and compared the former estimation and experimental result. From the comparison, we confirmed that the estimation is partially consistent with the rectifier operation.
