Abstract

To reduce the weight of a satellite, an internal wireless system for satellites was proposed in a previous study. It is a system that can communicate between the satellite's subsystems by wireless communication modules. In this paper, we propose a complete internal wireless system for a satellite using microwave wireless power transmission technology and present the design of a 5.8 GHz high efficiency rectifier circuit-based charge pump circuit. Further, we introduced a class-F load that processes the third harmonic component. We compare the rectifying efficiencies of a single shunt rectifier and a charge pump rectifier theoretically and conclude that they have the same conversion efficiency, which is verified by experiment. The conversion efficiency increases to 78 % at 30 mW in the charge pump circuit in the simulation, and was about 71 % in the experiment. In addition, the output voltage is higher than 5 V at an optimum load of 1300 Ω.
