Abstract

Pollen spectrum of forty—five honey samples from different apiaries in the Allariz—Maceda geopolitical country (northwest Spain) was studied to quantitative and qualitative melissopalynological analysis. Quantitative analysis show that eight samples belonged to Maurizio's class I, eleven honeys to class II, eleven to class III, eleven to class IV and three to class V. Qualitative analysis classified six samples as unifloral honey Rubus ulmifolius-type, two unifloral Castanea sativa honeys, two honey dew and 35 as multifloral honey with different pollinic—types as principal component. Pollen spectra in the honeys analysed Castanea sativa and Rubus ulmifolius-type as the pollens more abundant and present in all the honeys pollen and abounding in all.
