Abstract

Recently researchers are searching new renewable energy sources. The alternative source of energy search by researchers is solar energy. Solar energy can be converted in to the electrical energy and that is the device Photovoltaic (PV) cells. With this consideration mathematical modeling and equivalent circuit is used to calculate known and unknown parameters. In this paper we have discuss about comparative methods such as analytical as well as PSO optimization techniques by using manufacturing data among the different PV modules by identifying the unknown parameters such as photon current (Iph), diode reverse-saturation current (Io), diode ideality factor (A), series resistance (Rs), shunt resistance (Rsh) with known manufacturing data. This data also compare with different references. Along all these method we have studied about characteristics behavior of PV models that is Current-Voltage, Power-Voltage characteristics.
