Abstract

The present work investigates the influence of additives (In, Sb and Sn) on the micro-hardness and related thermo-mechanical properties of glassy Selenium. The results indicate that micro-hardness of Se is changed significantly after the incorporation of In, Sb and Sn additives. Some other useful thermo-mechanical parameters like volume (Vh) and formation energy (Eh) of micro-voids in the glassy network and the modulus of elasticity E are also calculated for present glasses.
