Abstract
The Z-dependenceof external bremsstrahlung (EB) produced by beta particles of 147Pm and32Pbeta emitters in Al, Cu, Sn, and Pb targets has been studied, as a functionof photon energy, on the basis of the theoretical and experimental EBspectral distributions. The present results show that the values of theZ-dependenceindex, obtained both from Elwert-corrected Bethe–Heitler and Tseng and Pratttheories and from experiments, are not constant. It is found that the indexnincreases with increasing photon energy.
