Abstract

Comparative studies have been conducted on the wear resistance of coatings made from clad powders applied by methods of gas-thermal spraying under the conditions of sliding friction with boundary lubrication. It can be said that sprayed coatings made from composite clad powders can be successfully used in a wider range of pressures and sliding speeds than a bronze alloy Br AJ-9-4 and high-strength aluminum alloy AK-4. Evidence has been obtained that shows the importance of the factor of heat conductivity of contact materials under sliding friction.
