Abstract
The quantum-mechanical three-body problem has played in the past and continues to play, as it will in the future, an important role in the development of atomic and nuclear physics. Thus, this study of three-body systems may verify the results of two-body interaction studies and at the same time demonstrate the nature and strength of three-body forces.
