Abstract

This paper presents theoretical studies of the SL-200 solar limbograph when it is operated on board the Russian segment of the ISS in the star-observation regime. It is shown that the heat put out by radiation into cold space in 60 min does not result in substantial thermal aberrations of its optical system, and this ensures a stable high quality of both the image and the throughput characteristics of the limbograph as a whole.
