Abstract

There are no reliable data in the literature on the formation of mixed oxychloride groupings in chlorine-containing phosphate systems. To study the possible formation of these groupings, we studied the IR reflection spectra of glasses in the Zn(PO3)2--CdCI2--KCI system. The changes in the reflection spectra that occur when the composition of the glasses is changed were compared with changes in the physicochemical properties of these glasses, and concepts were formed on the structure of the glasses of the system studied and the structural transformations occurring during the change in composition.
