Abstract
As a result of many years of research, working collections have been created for the selection of grain and sugar sorghum, foxtail millet and Sudan grass, promising breeding lines have been identified. Patents were obtained and included in the State Register of Protected Selection Achievements Garant and 4 best parent forms of the synthetic population: GVI 25, GVI 32, MEV 89/2, MEV 93/2. The selection line for grain sorghum MEV-1/16 was transferred to the state strain testing in 2016. Selection lines of sugar sorghum: L-109, L-9, L-23, L-1898/2 are recommended for further evaluation in competitive variety testing. Based on the results of a comprehensive assessment of breeding material, the line of Sudan grass MEV - 117/2015 was transferred to the State Variety Test.
