Study of the relationship between TQM and Financial Performance (Banks, insurance and Investment companies listed in Tehran Stock Exchange)

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the relationship between TQM and financial performance (banks, insurance companies and investment companies listed in Tehran Stock Exchange). The study population consisted of all 10 banks, 5 insurance companies and 16 investment companies listed in Tehran Stock Exchange, that given the low size of the population, the same number were selected as sample. To investigate and test the research hypothesis, SPSS, Kolmogorov – Smirnov tests and correlation analysis (Pearson and multiple regression) were used. The results of this study showed that, a positive and significant relationship exists between the leadership and financial performance, between continuous improvement and financial performance, the internal and external partnerships and financial performance, focus on the customer and financial performance, the process management and financial performance, the achievements of staff and financial performance and learning and financial performance, therefore, between TQM and financial performance of banks, insurance companies and investment companies listed in Tehran Stock Exchange.
