Abstract
Differential cross sections were measured at 8 angles and at proton energies from 2 to 5MeV for the 10B(p,αγ)7Be and 10B(p,p′γ)10B reactions using two thin targets. The γ-rays emitted at Eγ=429 and 718keV respectively, were detected by four HPGe detectors placed on a motorized turntable. The overall systematic uncertainty of the measurements was estimated to be ∼8% while the statistical errors did not exceed 5%. The validity of the obtained cross sections was tested by performing a thick target benchmarking experiment. The results of the present work are compared with existing ones from literature and possible explanations for the observed differences are discussed.
