Abstract

The degree of variation in mature writers and its effect on handwriting after a period of 10 years has been studied. This paper is based on an examination of fifty persons aged from 30 to 55 years. It was concluded that the range of natural variation, rather than the characteristics themselves, will change gradually with time. This change justifies the necessity for contemporary writings in comparison of handwriting, even though handwriting characteristics remain more or less permanent.
