Abstract

The thoracic and abdominal aortas are well visualized in the majority of the patients. The visceral trunks of the abdominal aorta can be well seen on the computed tomography (CT) scan: the celiac trunk, the hepatic and splenic arteries, the superior mesenteric, the renal arteries, as well as the bifurcation trunks of the aorta.
