Abstract

The current investigation presents the corrosion activity of Aegle marmelos fruit extract in 0.5 M H2SO4 as a corrosive medium. This plant belongs to the Rutaceae family. Tafel polarization, EIS measurements along with weight loss estimations were done to check the inhibition efficiency and AFM and SEM techniques were carried out to surface investigation of exposed mild steel. Electrochemical examination and weight reduction estimation say that the fruit extract for Aegle marmelos indicates the amazing restraint adequacy up to 83.08% at 500 mg/L inhibitor concentration in 0.5 M sulphuric acid solution for mild steel at 298 K.
