Abstract

Perumnas Larangan and Kecapi is a mass housing built in 1979, located in Harjamukti sub-district of Cirebon City. The presence of Perumnas aims to meet the needs of occupancy for the middle to lower class society. In the process of settling by inhabitant, many changes occur as the needs of shelter. Utilization of public space into private space is one of them. This research has a purpose to know the pattern of territorial form middle to lower class society through space utilization by residents in Perumnas Larangan-Kecapi Cirebon city. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive method, which is describe the relationship between data and findings qualitatively, grounded theory is used as the foundation of looking for gaps with field conditions. From the analysis, it can be seen that interpreting the territory of residential inhabitants do not have clear spatial limitation on secondary territory and public territory, different from primary territory which has clear enough limitation
