Abstract
Melt-Textured YBa2Cu3O7-δ (YBCO) rectangular and hollow cylindrical samples have been fabricated using melt texture growth technique (MTG). Since DC transport current measurement is only capable of characterizing of small samples, we have developed a system for measuring the samples of the trapped field perpendicular to the surface of the disk (“trapped field”). The testing system is capable of measuring the distribution of magnetic field and levitation force at the surface of the MTG sample.
