Abstract

5% Zn doped Bismuth Ferrite has been prepared using Sol-Gel Combustion method. The structural property of the prepared sample was studied using RT X-ray diffraction method and the structural parameters were evaluated using Rietveld refinement Simulation via FULLPROF software. VESTA software was used to visualize crystal structure and hence the bond length and bond angle were generated. The crystalline size and strain of the compound was analyzed using W-H plot which were found to be 55nm and 0.000542 respectively. The average crystallite size was further used to calculate the dislocation density and number of crystallites in a given pellet. The Dielectric study was carried out as a function of temperature (RT-520K) at constant frequencies. The optical property of the sample in UV and Visible region was studied using RT UV-VIS-NIR Spectrometer. The optical band gap was evaluated using tau plot and was found to be 1.89eV.
