Abstract

In this paper, we describe the diode-pumped Nd 3+ : YAG lasers studied at Laserdot. Longitudinally end-pumped and side-pumped configurations have been investigated for the study of the parameters which have to be taken into account in laser diode pumped systems: in a longitudinally end-pumped system it is necessary to find the right optical design to focuse the pump beam into the YAG rod in order to carry out a 1.064 μm TEMoo emission with a good efficiency. In side pumping, the 1.064 μm power stability depends on the diode laser temperature fluctuations. We made a measurement with a laser system pumped by 10 quasi-cw diode laser bars
