Abstract

Support for socio-economic studies is needed in the application and development of agricultural technology innovations so that the feasibility of a technology that will be introduced to users can be known. The purpose of the writing is to determine the pattern of the socio-economic study approach in the application and development of agricultural technology innovations for shallot commodities in Brebes Regency, Central Java Province. The assessment was conducted using primary data by collecting data from questionnaires that were compiled and analyzed against each indicator. Data analysis is carried out simply based on the percentage of respondents’ opinions on predetermined indicators and is complemented by secondary data that is analyzed qualitatively using the Desk Research Method. By knowing the pattern of the socio-economic approach of shallot commodities, it is concluded that agricultural technology innovations have been felt by farmers in terms of increased production (9 tons/ha), increasing farmers’ incomes (IDR 153,000,000), and farmers’ ability to apply technological innovations increased (IFE scores of 3.65 and EFE 3.83).
