Abstract

In the present work, the parameters of laser-induced Sn plasma are studied using the fundamental of a Q-switched Nd:YAG. An improved iterative Boltzmann plot method is developed to calculate the electron temperature of the plasma to be 5116 K with 14 Sn (I) emission lines. The Sn (I) 303.41 nm emission line is Lorentz fitted and the electron number density is inferred to be 7.6 × 1016 cm−3. Moreover, the validity of local thermodynamic equilibrium is elucidated.
