Abstract

Resources are assets as well as important capital owned by each region. Resources can be a determinant in the success of the development. The former Banyumas Residency is an area that includes the Regencies of Banyumas, Banjarnegara, Cilacap, and Purbalingga. Every year the value of GRDP for each regency always increases even though there is still inequality. The GRDP of the Cilacap Regency is much higher than other regencies because of the high value-added and dependence on the manufacturing sector. Development in the former Banyumas Residency requires efforts to focus on sectors that can develop. This study aims to examine the leading sectors that become potential economic resources and the pattern and structure of economic growth in each regency from 2015 to 2019. The method used is the Sectoral Contribution Index (IKS), Location Quotient (LQ), Classic Shift Share, and Klassen Typology. The leading sectors in each regency are different. Construction is the leading sector in Banyumas Regency; agriculture, forestry, and fishery sectors in Banjarnegara and Purbalingga regencies; and the manufacturing sector in Cilacap Regency. The pattern and structure of sectoral growth in each regency also differ based on the Klassen typology.
