Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of developing the electric mode of the technological process of forming protective coatings by plasma-electrolytic oxidation. The influence of the duty cycle of voltage pulses on the morphology, elemental composition and corrosion properties of the oxide coating is considered. It was found that the coating thickness, surface roughness and pore size increase with increasing duty cycle of voltage pulses. With an increase in the duty cycle from 10 to 50%, the calcium content increased by 20%. The promising processing modes have been identified, which make it possible to increase the corrosion resistance by more than two orders.
