Abstract

As more prostate cancer patients choose the surgery option for treatment thanks to the advancement in early screening and robotic surgical techniques, the percentage of post-prostatectomy patients in radiation oncology clinic also increases. Guidelines have been established to define the prostate bed, the clinical target volumes (CTV) for this group of patients. However, the variation of the prostate bed during the radiation therapy course has not been characterized, which hinders the consistent implementation of treatment planning and image guidance strategies.
