Study of Properties of Metamaterial Screen for Isolation Increase Between Antennas

Abstract

The theoretical and experimental researches of influence of metamaterial screen on antenna isolation in order to provide for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of compact radio-electronic equipment groups have been conducted. It is shown that the metamaterial screen has special characteristics, namely, at a natural frequency of dipole radiation the screen is almost transparent for electromagnetic radiation, while at the second dipole frequency it becomes ill-transparent and acts as a reflector.
