Abstract

Environmental pollution is an acute problem in large cities especially in recent times due to increasing urbanization. Urgency of a theme pollution of atmospheric air by anthropogenesis emissions in advanced industrial areas, is especial in the large cities, taking place in a foothill zone became, the important problem which acuteness from year to year constantly amplifies. At the present time its determined that there is a certain connection between levels of air pollution and climatic factors. Thus, the urgency of a theme of research is still defined (determined) by the big practical importance of knowledge of the meteorological conditions promoting accumulation and dispersion of polluting impurity in an atmosphere of foothill areas. It is necessary for, development of forecasts of a degree of impurity of air pool, acceptance of the economic decisions, allowing taking into account or improving ecological quality of a ground layer of an atmosphere. Therefore, the task of the study was to examine the condition of air pollution by suspended matters in Almaty city for the past ten years, and to trace a direct bound between pollution levels and the amount of precipitation. For this article we have used data gathered from 5 air pollution observation posts located in different parts of the city. Observations revealed features of dust distribution dynamics during research period, and highlight main maximums and minimums of air pollution by suspended matters, depending upon mode and amount of precipitation. By means of variance analysis we have studied and evaluated the reliability of this factor’s influence and highlighted correlation coefficients between the content of suspended matters in atmospheric air and amount of precipitation in different seasons. While processing the data we have applied the linear correlation coefficient followed by drawing graphs and regression line.
