Abstract
Oil extraction is carried out in three ways: fountain, gas elevator, and pumping. The claim that the time of flowing wells is long over is not negotiable. But we can agree that the leading role in oil production is. Although there are different types of pumps, such as plunger, centrifugal, screw, hydraulic piston, jet, etc., more common for this method are. And the main drive of downhole rod pumps has been pumpjacks for more than a century. This article considers the justification of the possibility of improving the pumpjack design through self-lubricating sliding bearings in low-speed units.
