Abstract

SummaryTo verify the mathematical model of a scroll vacuum pump working process, an experimental unit for obtaining indicator diagrams was developed. The pump was modified to install gauges to measure quick‐varying pressures in the working chambers of the pump at different operating modes. The dependence of pressure on the rotation angle of the drive shaft at different inlet pressures is obtained. Comparison of experimental and calculated data shows convergence within 15 %.
