Abstract

Background In oil fields development, special difficulties are encountered in the collection and interfield transport of high-quenching oils. The issues of transportation of highly viscous and high-boiling oils in the conditions of the Vietsovpetro JV are particularly relevant due to the significant increase in their share in the oil production total volume. The article discusses new chemical reagents - demulsifiers to improve the rheological properties of oil during transport and to dehydrate it to commodity condition. The results of the analysis of the oil treatment system at Vietsovpetro JV fields during the field tests of the TPS-609 demulsifier from Thuan Phong are presented. Aims and Objectives: Research of new demulsifiers samples with the aim of selecting the most effective reagents for improving the oil treatment at Vietsovpetro JV oil fields, both in terms of their use technology and of economic benefits. Results To improve the oil treatment at Vietsovpetro JV oil fields, it is proposed to use the demulsifier TPS-609, which allows the dehydration process of oil extracted from the White Tiger and Dragon oil fields to the required quality. It is possible to use a TPS-609 demulsifier with a dosage of 25 ppm for oil treatment at White Tiger oil field, and with a dosage of 40 ppm for oil treatment at Dragon oil field.
