Abstract

A slowing down time lead spectrometer set up at Trombay has been used for the measurement of neutron resonance parameters. The measurements have been carried out using capture gamma rays from samples of Ag, Au, Ta and Ho and the area method of analysis is adopted to evaluate the resonance parameters. The results have been compared with published BNL-values and show good agreement within experimental errors, thereby verifying that the lead spectrometer can also be used in the low energy region (below 5 eV) for such measurements.
