Abstract

The flow of energy in a steady, inhomogeneous turbulent flow with arbitrary mean velocity field is discussed. Expressions are derived for the spectra of velocity and pressure-velocity correlation tensors in the far downstream region of an idealized grid-generated channel turbulence. The effects of pressure-velocity correlations and of the conditions at a reference plane on final stage decay are discussed.
