Abstract

As we have shown in a number of works (e.g. [1-3]), short-lived color centers (SLCC), formed in active elements in waveguide spoke-like lasers on neodymium-doped silicate glasses under the influence of short-wave (SW) part of spectrum of exciting lamp, cause a self-modulation of Q-factor with irradiation of regular giant pulses (GP) with repetition frequency up to 30 kHz. For further study and modeling of generation of spoke-like neodymium-doped lasers a determination of values of inductive losses in active laser element and its influence on parameters of generation is very important. In the present work an analysis of experimental results is conducted by means of kinetic equations of generation with presence of SLCC, using the method given in [4]. Concentration of inductive losses ?CC induced by SLCC and its influence on duration ?t and intensity I of GP is determined.
