Abstract

This experimental study aims to determine the specifi c personality traits of female incarcerated aggressors in Romanian prisons, a category of inmates that has been insuffi ciently investigated regarding their personality profi le. The research sample consisted of 200 incarcerated women, defi nitively convicted for off enses including homicide, drug traffi cking and consumption, theft, and economic crimes. The investigation of the personality profi le of female aggressor inmates was conducted using the Zuckerman-Kuhlman Personality Questionnaire (ZKPQ), the Nonverbal Personality Questionnaire in Five Factors (FFNPQ), and the Freiburg Personality Inventory (FPI). Analyzing and synthesizing the results of this research, we can conclude that female aggressor inmates exhibit a distinct personality profi le compared to female inmates who have committed non-violent off enses.
