Abstract

Results are reported on studies of hadron production in Au+Au collisions at 11 A GeV/ c at the BNL-AGS utilizing the newly constructed E866 Forward Spectrometer. Semi-inclusive spectra of hadrons in the mid-rapidity region are presented for central Au+Au collisions. Comparisons are shown between the experimental results and lighter collision systems, microscopic cascade models, and a hydro-dynamical collective-flow model.
