Abstract

Infrared spectra were measured for the pure enantiomers and their complexes in different solvents: carbon tetrachloride, chloroform, methylene chloride, and an n-hexane/methylene chloride mixture. The carbonyl(C=O), secondary amide and secondary carbamate NH groups, and hydroxy (O-H) strech spectral regions were studied. The resultats have been correlated with that of molecular mechanics studies.
