Abstract

The formation of electron donor-acceptor complexes (CT complexes) was studied by electron spectroscopy. A number of hydrochlorides of substituted phenylcarbamic acid basic esters with a marked local anesthetic activity were used as electron donors. Chloranil was used as the electron acceptor. The local anesthetics used in practice, cinchocaine hydrochloride, tetracaine hydrochloride and trimecaine hydrochloride, were used for comparison. The equilibrium constants K c were determined using the Benesi-Hildebrand method and as a parameter in QSAR equations.
