Abstract

In this paper defected grounded structure(DGS) on ground plane of both normal as well as conductor backed CPW(CB-CPW) has been investigated. It is found that the proposed DGS gives two separate resonating poles in the pass band, for even and odd mode of coupled slot lines. The normal CPW, CPW loaded with parasitic patch, conductor backed CPW with top DGS, CB-CPW with bottom DGS are studied, simulated and compared. It is found that CB-CPW with back side DGS gives comparatively better result as it miniaturizes the structure also provides quite high attenuation level of around −30dB.
