Abstract

This work is devoted to identification of the structural characteristic of poly(3,4-ethylene dioxy-thiophene) polystyrene sulfonate (PEDOT PSS) in the synthesized hydrogel based on xanthan. It is demonstrated that PEDOT PSS forms a stable structure with polysaccharides to a greater degree than with structure-forming polyvinyl alcohol (PVA). In this article, we also propose the technique of comparing the degree of oxidation of PEDOT PSS by means of Raman-scattering spectra, which makes it possible to identify and qualitatively evaluate the effects on the conductivity of the process of structural changes in the PEDOT chain, which can be useful in future studies of such materials.
