Abstract
A circular patch loaded with a circular complementary split ring resonator (CSRR) is fabricated on a heterogeneous substrate material. The CSRR helps to reduce the size of antenna up to 44.26%. A 2.4 GHz ISM band circular patch antenna is constructed, fabricated and identified as prototype for wireless applications. We investigate how the loading of triple circular complementary split ring resonator on a heterogeneous substrate can reduce the size of antenna and improve the bandwidth and gain compared to conventional microstrip patch antenna. Further, the design is compared for different heights and width of Air and Taconic RF-30 dielectric substrate which is used to prepare a heterogeneous substrate material.
