Abstract

The study of charge transfer has been carried out on Thulium Sulphide (TmS) compound from x-ray powder diffraction data. The theoretical x-ray powder diffraction data (XRPD) has been simulated and found to be in good agreement with experimental x-ray powder diffraction data. The structure factor values have been determined. The atomic form factor curves deduce charge transfer of 0.03 electrons from Thulium (Tm) to Sulphur (S) in TmS which proves the trivalent state of the system.
