Abstract
This paper describes the enhancement of ammonia dispersion for improving the performance of selective non-catalytic reduction. The new method which injects ammonia by using steam is superior to the conventional method which sprays ammonia water with compressed air. In addition, higher steam pressure and larger nozzle diameters improve the ammonia dispersion. However, stronger steam injection can lead to damage of the refractory material on the opposite wall.
