Abstract

In this paper, a W-band sheet-beam EIK with two five-cell extended interaction cavity working on 2π mode is studied. The cavity characteristic impedance and resonant frequency relevant to several key structure parameters are obtained and the EIK is optimized. The device stability and characteristics of beam-wave interaction are further studied. As a result, a 19.5kV, 3.5A W-band sheet-beam EIK is expected to generate an output power about 8kW and a gain of 23dB, which is better that its original performance.
