Abstract

This communication gives information on the study of a fuel element of the First atomic electric station which had been exposed in the reactor for 445 effective 24-hour periods. Diameter measurements show that there is a limit to fuel elements swelling at large burnouts. The concentration of transuranic elements in fuel element is equal to (in kilograms per ton of uranium): Pu239−4.10, Pu240−1.53, Pu241−0.64, Pu242−0.20, Cm242−2.73·10−3.
