Abstract
In this study, we focused on fabricating dura mater model for brain surgeries training, especially for a transnasal pituitary surgery. In this paper, a dura mater model was developed by combining an elastic material and a fiber material to mimic actual dura mater. The fabricated dura mater model was compared with porcine dura mater and evaluated. The dura mater model can be used to improve surgical skills for suturing dura mater by installing into a surgical simulator.
