Abstract

A newly published study of telehealth services for mental health patients in rural areas suggests that men, older adults and those with less education might need to be more closely targeted in efforts to improve telehealth's effectiveness. Published online last week in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, the study also calls attention to the digital divide as a major barrier to telehealth success and a significant social determinant of health.
