Abstract

According to this study: Transfeminine individuals had higher rates of venous thromboembolism and ischemic stroke than cisgender men and women (those whose gender identity is consistent with their sex designation at birth).The study findings suggest a need for long-term monitoring of vascular adverse effects of estrogen therapy in this population.
