Abstract

The study was conducted at the Scientific Center of Vegetable-Melon and Industrial Crops of Armenia during spring and autumn vegetation seasons of 2021-2022. Foreign and local breeds of greenhouse F1 tomato racemose hybrids were studied, namely, Prodezo, Santiana, Adventure (Rijk Zwaan), Climbo (Syngenta) and the new Armenian hybrid RM-4. Hybrid Prodezo F1 was used as a control. Phenological observations, detailed studies of morphological characteristics of the hybrids and assessment of plant productivity were carried out during the research. Phenophase observations revealed that the period of the emergence of the first fruits in hybrids Adventure, Climbo and RM-4 had reduced by 6-7 days as compared with the control. The hybrids Adventure and RM-4 stood out by their relatively high total yield during the spring growing season, their average yields being 15.7 and 15.4kg/m2, which corresponded to an increase in control – 8.3 and 6.2%, respectively. Climbo and Adventure stood out during autumn vegetation with average yields 12.7 and 12.6 kg/m2, the increase to the control being 10.4 and 9.6% respectively.
