Abstract

AbstractThe computational capability of circuits design based on QCA technology is much faster than conventional CMOS technology. In QCA technology, digital information is given by the polarization of electrons. One of the applications of this QCA technology is in the field of computing devices by making the efficient electronic circuits. Addition is one of the very common and necessary mathematical operations which are needed in all computing system. In the designing of any arithmetic circuits, an adder can play a very useful and supportive role. Here, in this work, we have provided the novel circuit design approach for half adder circuit using QCA technology, which is a modest approach for the implementation of the novel half adder circuit. Moreover, we have minimized the complexity of our proposed half adder circuit design by using a smaller number of cells, less area of circuit, and by simple clocking scheme. The performance of proposed half adder design is very efficient than earlier designs attempted by other researchers. Moreover, for result and analysis, we have used software named as QCA designer tool version 2.0.3 to verify simulated result for proposed circuit with other researchers.KeywordsNanotechnologyQuantum dot cellular automata (QCA)Half adderQCA technology
