Abstract

Nanotechnological development is a concern of scientists and researchers. Especially nanotechnology in the material is not to produce the particle size of nanometers, but to make and utilize the properties of new to the material. This research will produce nanomaterial of rGO/Fe3O4 the used co-precipitation method that is synthesized based on natural iron sand. Graphene (rGO) and nature iron sand with a ratio of 0 and (50:50) wt% as the main precursor. This precursor dissolved into 50 mL of aqua dest and stirred for 30 min until the solution becomes homogeneous. The characterization that was used X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) to observe structure properties, then to discover chemical structure from analysis FTIR and magnetic properties of Fe3O4 that used Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM). The results of XRD showed that all of the samples have formed crystalline phases with different intensities. This matter is seen from the crystal peaks that formed at the XRD pattern. The results of Fourier Transform Infra Red (FTIR) showed the wavelength of 1000/cm which was the peak formed curve linked to FeO. The results of VSM showed that the parameter of magnetization and remanence decreased after the addition of graphene but the coercivity percentage was increased with added graphene. The magnetization properties depend on crystallinity, size of a particle, and there was a secondary phase (impurities).
